WATER RITUALS

These paintings are loosely based on Shinto purification ceremonies. Shintoism is a Japanese religion dating from the early 8th century that incorporates the worship of ancestors and nature spirits and a belief in sacred power ( kami ). 

These paintings were finished in 2021.
